John Jennings started to make art in 1965 after a visit to the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford. He was 15.
He says it was like a revelation and has been driven to paint ever since. Stating that his paintings have always been about colour they range over representational and non representational subjects alike and in a style that is sometimes gestural sometimes hard edge but always full of colour. The hard edge abstract paintings shown here are part of a series that has been developing since 2013. |
